Nikkilä Nature
Finland has amongst the oldest bedrock on Earth, up to 65kms thick and is known as “the land of a thousand lakes.” It also has the cleanest air on the planet, according to the WHO, due to its thick green cover of forests and trees. In fact it is the most forested country in the EU. The air, land, and lake at Nikkilä transmit stability, safety, purity, power, love, innocence, wisdom, aliveness, depth, lightness, stillness, silence and peace. It is an ideal setting for inner work, connection, creativity, and expansion.
We are blessed to be on the shores of a lake with crystal clear water, set amongst natural wild forest, with fields for a vegetable garden, and on powerful bedrock. All of our water, which is tested annually, is sourced straight from the ground, straight from the bedrock itself. There is no light pollution, as there are hardly any neighbours and there aren’t even street lamps for about 20 km. On any given day you can enjoy watching the sunset across the lake. On a clear winter night the sky is filled with stars, and during the mating season you can hear owls hooting in the forest. During the long, white summer nights you can hear the unmistakable sound of the resident cranes, and the powerful sound the wings of the wild swans make as they fly overhead. It is truly a magical place.
When you visit here your body, soul and spirit will be held and nourished by the direct transmission of Love, Life and Power from Nikkilä! And you will be greeted by Sisu and Kaneli, our resident Huskies. You can swim naked in the lake, or walk or ski across it when it’s frozen in the winter. You can spend time in the forest and even camp there. In the summer you can help pick berries (black and red currant, raspberries, blueberries, and lingonberries), and in the fall apples and mushrooms, along with the harvest of the vegetables. At any time, you can enjoy the fire in the stone circle. But most of all, you can just BE!
